Andrew McKeown - Senior Social Researcher

Andrew is a Senior Social Researcher with close to a decade of experience working in the field. He is an expert in research ethics, qualitative research methods such as semi-structured interviews, online communities and ethnographic research, as well as deliberative engagement. Underpinning all of his work is the conviction that the best way to understand any social issue is to talk directly to the people affected by it.

He previously worked as a Research Manager at Ipsos, designing and delivering complex qualitative research projects for a wide range of public and third-sector clients. Before that, Andrew was a researcher at disability charity Scope UK, where he developed expertise in issues disabled people often face in areas such as employment, social care, and equality in society.

He has an MSc in Social Research from the University of Edinburgh, and an MA in Politics from the same institution.

When not engaged in research, Andrew tends to the fruits and vegetables growing on his London allotment. Building on recent successes, he’s hoping to expand to new chilli varieties, keeping things spicy.
