Dr Anja Garbely - Senior Economist & Data Scientist
Anja is an economist with an affinity for all things data.
Although an economist at heart, Anja keeps honing her programming skills and is always tracking innovations in machine learning and natural language processing. Prior to joining Alma, she worked as a Research Associate at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland, carrying out research in financial and development economics.
Anja holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Lucerne, Switzerland and an MA in Political Economics from the same university.
Anja is happiest when spending time in nature. She loves long walks with friends and dogs and has made a habit of hiking and skiing her way through the Swiss Alps. Next on her to-do list is exploring the vibrant markets of London.
