Dr Anna Yates - Social Researcher

Anna is an experienced researcher adept at both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

She has worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto and as a Research Lead at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. She has chaired panels and presented work at international conferences, including that of the American Society for Criminology, the Nordic Journal for Feminist and Gender Research, the Royal Geographical Society, and the RC21 conference.

Anna was awarded a PhD from Newcastle University for her work studying the intersectional nature of women’s perceived (un)safety in Stockholm. She holds an MA in Geography Research Methods from the same university, as well as a BA in Geography from the University of Cambridge. During her time at Cambridge, she also won the William Lewis Vaughan Prize for best dissertation.

Anna enjoys swimming, hiking, attending Sigrid concerts and sipping big cups of coffee. Like, cereal bowl big.
