Karl Williams - Senior Developer
Karl is a Senior Developer at Alma with over 15 years of experience in front-end and back-end software engineering. A firm believer in accessibility, he doesn’t just want his tools and products to look good – they have to be usable by anyone.
Before he joined our tech team, Karl led software development projects for a variety of high-profile clients, including Google and the Financial Times. He also completed a 7-year stint at Canonical, the developer behind the open-source operating system Ubuntu. When it comes to languages, Python is his bread and butter, though he’s also well-versed in CSS and JavaScript, among others.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing from the University of Plymouth.
After office hours, Karl is always up for an adventure. That could be at home, immersed in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign with his friends, or wild camping near ancient sites in Southern England. It depends on the weather.
