Sarah Garrone - Social Researcher

Sarah is a Social Researcher with experience in qualitative research methods including designing and conducting interviews, focus groups and surveys. Analysing difficult-to-quantify phenomena is her primary research interest, as she hopes to give a voice to marginalised individuals and communities and increase understanding of their lived experience.

Sarah joined Alma after leading a research project for the London School of Economics' Inclusive Education team, exploring the development of student identities in higher education and their impact on their sense of belonging, academic outcomes and well-being. This project also involved the application of quantitative methods to analyse survey data.

Sarah has an MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology from the LSE and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Exeter.

When not lending her skills to researching societal challenges, Sarah likes to be involved in her local community: she volunteers at a soup kitchen and a social inclusion charity for women and girls.
