Business Development - Bids Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to join our business development team in Athens. 

As a member of the business development team, your role will be multi-faceted with managerial responsibilities across the organisation. You will have the opportunity to get involved with key aspects of our business, including the development and implementation of the firm’s short- and long-term business objectives, marketing strategies and communications. You will also be the lead on all aspects of bids preparation, managing the firm’s resources to ensure that all bid proposals are up to standard and give our firm the best chance of acquiring new business.

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written

  • Proven experience drafting business proposals and bids

  • University-level degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing & Communications or a related discipline

  • Ability to work under pressure, delivering high - quality work consistently against tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Lead on the development of marketing, sales strategies and business plans including long term strategic objectives

  • Provide ad-hoc support to project teams, including advising on communication

  • Product development – help define product development strategies and support implementation

  • Help attract new clients

  • Drive sales and growth opportunities

  • Engage with clients

Bids Manager

  • Lead the preparation of bids and tender responses throughout all stages, including submission and debriefing sessions

  • Monitor tender portals to identify new opportunities

  • Maintain a library of staff CVs, project summaries and case studies

  • Upkeep a central database of core information including lessons learnt from all successful and unsuccessful bids
