▹ Copy Editor - All offices

What we do

Alma Economics combines unparalleled expertise in economics and advanced data analysis with a focus on the real world.

Our work spans various sectors and countries, but our aim is always to make evidence-based assessments to help build a better society. Current and previous clients include the World Bank, the European Commission, the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government, the Children's Commissioner for England, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, the British Lung Foundation, the Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies, the Office for Students, and Adam Smith International. We operate out of our offices in London and Athens.

What sets us apart is our desire to work on issues with a societal bearing. For example, our research has looked at:

  • How can we better understand the scope of problems facing children in England? What don’t we know?

  • How can we identify best practice in online safety?

  • What incentives can be used to improve matches and reduce waiting times for adoption?

  • What progress have the nations of the Mediterranean made towards gender equality?

  • How can we help developing countries increase tax revenues to improve sustainability?

Who we are

At Alma, we are guided by three overarching goals: create an excellent environment for our staff, achieve excellence in everything we do and produce work that makes an impact.

Our team boasts members from diverse backgrounds with a range of experience across various sectors. We perceive the world from different angles which allows us to see the bigger picture and to challenge conventional views.

As a growing company, we offer a supportive environment to take your skills and experience to the next level. We strive to create a workplace that combines innovation, critical thinking and fun.
